A great attitude to live by which Paul also had, he learned to be at peace no matter his situation.

I am working on this daily, staying focused on the truth and not allowing circumstances around me to determine my thoughts and feelings.
I need some prayer.

I have six dollars and possibly another $50 coming Monday to last me the next 3 weeks. My direct deposit for my job at school didn’t work — so my last check from there is sitting at the school. However — I have less than a quarter tank of gas in my car… food for about 5 days (if I don’t binge/purge which doesn’t seem possible right now)… and my cell phone...

God: What are you talking about, child? I was broken to make you whole. Now, live like someone who has been healed, not like someone who is still wounded.

It’s on you, Sis. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, “OH CRAP, SHE’S UP!” Dear God: This is my friend, whom I love and this is my prayer for her Help her live her life to the fullest. Please promote her and cause her to excel above her expectations. Help her to shine in the...

I was supposed to go to Houston this weekend, and on the way to the airport Friday I got into a car accident on the expressway. It was the first really bad accident I’d ever been in. My friend that was driving has two fractured ribs and a broken one, and his entire left leg is in a cast. I was so scared. But I feel SO. BLESSED. that it wasn’t worse. When an SUV merging from the left...

I wonder sometimes if I use my talents to their fullest extent and I know the answer, no. I don’t think I use my talent everyday and I am sure that if I did I would probably be in a different profession. I guess with the musings of life I get caught up in day-to-day living. Work, family, bills, gas, bills, soccer, gymnastics, bills, you get the picture. Sometimes I lose focus from...

The message Sunday was out of Ephesians 4/5 talking about the giftings that are in the church. The point of the message was that we did not have to have the official title of pastor, teacher etc. God calls us to use what he has given us to strengthen others and build his church.
I came up with this while reflecting on what was being said.

magicalteacher:
Have you thought about the people in your life who need your blessing? They need your approval. They need to hear you say, “I’m proud of you. You’re going to do great things.” That’s speaking the blessing. That’s releasing favor into their future. When you say to the people you love, “I’m so glad you’re in my life. You mean the world to me,” you just gave them the blessing....

yesterday i went to a wedding. the pastor talked about “but God”— how now matter what happened in this couples time in marriage, they had to know that they could look at each other, look at situations and say “but God” and have the faith that God would create good, would create light, would supply hope and strength. i reread my last post from last week… at the end, the whole “but…...

Granny comes home from the hospital today and not a moment too soon. I was having an amazing Sunday yesterday, especially having gone to one of the best church services I’ve ever been to. I heard a word I knew was for me and I just FELT God move. I called Granny’s room as soon as I was out of church, and she was asleep, so I couldn’t talk to her. I was trying not to be sad about it,...

Went to church today…. right here in my apartment. Just me and my Jesus. And it was one of the best moments of worship I’ve had in a while. The past week was full of thoughtful reflection for me, and quite a few moments of clarity. I’ve been making plans and mapping out the things I’m going to do to better myself and my life full circle. To better myself spiritually, mentally,...
